20/07/15 Thanks to the good results from the 7 Lincoln paddlers (who all survived without swims) at the Ironbridge Marathon, the club has ended the 2014 - 15 Midlands Hasler season in 4th place. It was very close, with Worcester 2 points ahead of us, Leamington 1 point behind and Gailey 1 point behind them.
09/07/15 It was announced today that Lizzy and Peter have been selected to race at the Junior European Championships at Bascov, Romania in September. Lizzy will race K2 over 500m and 1000m while Peter will be in the 1000m K4 event. Very well done to both of them and best wishes for success from all at the club.
06/07/15 Well done to all at the July Regatta, particularly those who won medals in the National Championships events. Once again Lizzy Gray did exceptionally well, winning gold in the U16 girls K1 500m and 1000m (and 4th in 200m), and silver in 500m and 1000m K2 (in a higher age group). Peter Quittenton won silver in the U18 boys 1000m K4 and bronze in the 1000m K2. There was silver too for Patrick, Ben and Josh in the Boys U14 1000m K4.
14/05/15 It was announced today that Peter Quittenton and Lizzy Gray have been selected to race at the Piestany International Regatta in Slovakia on 28th-31st May. Congratulations to them both and good luck in their races.
10/05/15 Our first National Champion of 2015 is Richard Oliver, who won the Gold medal in the O64 500m K1 event at the Masters National Championship Regatta at Holme Pierrepont today. He also took Silver in 200m K1 and Bronze in 1000m K1 as well as Silver in the O54 1000m K4 (with Laurence Oliver, Robert Guest and Amanda Mylett). Laurence also won Bronze in O64 500m K1.
Other good (non-National Championship) results came from Nicole Wells, with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd in her three K1 races. For Peter Quittenton and Lizzy Gray the Regatta was a selection event for the GB junior sprint team and both were going well, particularly in crew boats; Peter only finished out of the top 3 once and Lizzy twice, and Lizzy was promoted to Girls A.
